Open Source

When doing any work these days, there is invariably a heavy use of software. Software is expensive, cumbersome and difficult to use / learn in many instances. In an attempt to lessen these negatives, i would suggest a trip over to http://www.osalt.com/ to see how the open source community can help you.

Simply type in a piece of software you are going to buy, or even one you already own, and see what the open source (free) alternatives are. You may be pleasantly surprised!

Hi Toby, Great website, well done. Thanks for sharing this information about osalt.com, it will be very useful to me…there are so many bogus ‘shareware’ sites that claim to be free but are in fact not.

Do you mind if I share this with my cohort? There are a lot of people on there that could make good use of this?

Hope you’re doing ok…looking at this, I’m sure you are.

Please feel free to share anything and everything on this blog. Would love to have some more comments from different cohorts!
